Eye catching and visually distinct from typical padlocks, these padlocks come in a variety of colors that are useful for lockout identification practices. Assign a color to individual workers or departments and use these locks with cables and other lockout devices to prevent workers from operating equipment during maintenance or repair. This helps you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 procedures. These locks each open with a different key and all have random key numbers.All have pin-tumbler key locking mechanisms, which are the most difficult locking mechanisms to pick. When choosing between padlocks with four or five pins, the lock with five pins is harder to pick.Style A locks have an aluminum body that resists corrosion better than locks with a steel body but are not as strong. Their shackles are either aluminum or boron alloy, both of which resist corrosion better than hardened steel shackles.Locks with a boron alloy shackle have the hardest and most cut resistant shackle material.
