Open them with retaining ring pliers (sold separately), pass them over the end of a shaft, and release to install. Ring ID is measured with the ring uninstalled.15-7 PH stainless steel has high strength with good corrosion resistance. These rings are passivated for extra protection against corrosion.Thrust load capacity, also known as PR, is based on using a shaft that is harder than the ring.
