With the widest grip, these pins give you the most leverage. They’re the easiest to grab with gloved or slippery hands but take up the most space when installed. Pins have a retaining ball to hold them in place until you pull to remove. Plastic Lanyard—Keep pins from getting lost when removed by securing the end of the attached lanyard to equipment. Zinc-Plated Carbon Steel—These pins withstand occasional exposure to moisture. However, since friction from moving parts can wear away the finish, they're not ideal for wet environments. While not nearly as corrosion resistant as stainless steel, they are stronger and won’t deform under stress.
