These anchors grip the sides of your hole to resist twisting and pullout in block and brick. They’re an economical choice for mounting lightweight switches, security cameras, and clocks. All are the easiest anchors to install in block and brick but have the lowest strength.To install, drill a hole slightly deeper than the anchor is long. Next, insert the anchor until it's flush with the surface. Then, thread a tapping screw through your component into the anchor and tighten. Remove your component by unfastening the screw, but the anchor itself cannot be removed.Ribbed—Soft enough to conform to irregular, out-of-round holes, yet hard enough to hold securely. These anchors expand and distort to fit your hole while ribs add gripping force to prevent twisting. Removing and reinstalling your screw will not lessen the strength.
