Adjust the brightness with the dimmer to reduce glare on reflective surfaces. The sturdy pivoting arm holds its position more rigidly than gooseneck arms.Magnifiers with a steel arm are more durable and less likely to dent than those with an aluminum arm.Magnifiers with an open spring are lightweight and have knobs at the top of the arm to precisely adjust the position of the lens.
