They are commonly used in electronics and automation applications to take the pressure off screws and nuts and protect mounting surfaces.Polyimide—Our most temperature-resilient plastic washers. These won't deform or lose strength at temperatures as low as -450° F and as high as 750° F to handle everything from liquid nitrogen to heating elements. They are also good electrical insulators.
