All are more corrosion resistant than steel rods and comparable in strength to medium-strength steel.410 Stainless Steel—Threads won’t strip from repeated fastening and loosening. These rods are not as corrosion resistant as 18-8 and 316 stainless steel, so they are best for environments that experience occasional moisture.
