Bolt- and Clamp-Mount Strip Heater

Also known as strip and disc heaters, these bolt or clamp onto flat metal parts to heat the surface through direct contact. All require a temperature switch or controller (sold separately) to regulate heat output.Strip heaters should be bolted onto flat surfaces or attached with metal clamps, such as C-clamps (not included). Space clamps 3 to 5 inches apart to avoid air gaps that can cause hot spots and lead to premature failure. Dual-heater clamps (sold separately) are for connecting two strip heaters to a surface using a single stud.Heaters with a 430 stainless steel sheath have good corrosion resistance.
