Aluminum Flanged Screw-to-Expand Insert

Manufacturer part: 90741A210

These aluminum inserts are 70% lighter than brass inserts, electrically conductive, and nonmagnetic. They have good corrosion resistance, which is comparable to brass but not as good as stainless steel. The flange provides a load-bearing surface and acts as an electrical contact. Press them into a drilled hole, then install a screw to expand the insert and drive the knurls into the surrounding plastic to keep it secure. Installed length includes the flange.
